Artist's Statement

I have always thought in color, line, shadow, empty and positive spaces. My observations are magnifications, not panoramic views.

I map the Earth on canvas and paper in an attempt to answer questions about the importance of green and urban space, climate, sound, structure, light and water and our own not insignificant footprint.

The hard and soft lines of these compositions are an attempt to begin the story. The brush, paint, and palette knife move the story in its own direction, one that flows outward to reach the viewers’ life experiences.
